For ss14 ditch the faithful black in favour of a crisp, sharp white - preferably head to toe for full effect. Definitely one of the colours of the season, it featured in most of the key shows and we really loved two contrasting takes on how to pull off the look - from Agi and Sam's laidback loose tailored look and MAN sponsored Craig Green's sportier, boxy layered look. For those of you who aren't brave (or clean) enough to rock this 'it' colour completely team with pastel or nude hues or invest in a well tailored white jacket or blazer.

The floral trend gets an update think more goth/darker type floral prints than the girly type your misses would probably be into. Luxe labels Gucci and Dries Van Noten championed the look teaming earthy tones and lots of black and navy to create a much harder, masculine look.

Geometric, abstract or a classic Breton - the humble stripe is back in a big way. Stripes were paraded up and down the ss14 catwalks in a number of incarnations, but the best of the bunch were the bright and the bold takes on the trend.

Who said pink was just for the ladies? Another big colour on the SS14 runways was the rosy hue but don't fear there is a pink for everyone: from the faintest pastel shades (as seen in Alan Taylor's Man sponsored show) to the brightest in-your-face raspberry and neon stains. Remember real men wear pink with pride.
