The Coens are back with a film more folk than Bob Dylan playing a banjo on top of Stonehenge; here's how to get the look.

Words By Rachael Krishna

The directing duo have gone back to the 60's for their latest cinematic venture; set in 1961, the film is rife with more acoustic guitar and knitted jumpers than an independent cafe. With the film set to clean up during award season, take the opportunity to pull on a polo and brush up on your beat poetry whilst reading books no one has heard of; here is our guide to dressing like you're straight out of Greenwich Village.

NAVY ROLL NECK CABLE JUMPER

Channel Justin Timberlake's cosy folk vibes with this knitted turtle neck. DISCLAIMER: Wearing this jumper will not give you an epic musician beard or the ability to woo ladies with your lark-like voice.

STONE SUEDE BORG LINED JACKET

Being a troubled musician might boost your babe points, but more likely than not you'll be living without central heating and contemplating scrapping your guitar for kindling. Avoid these horrors and wrap up warm with this suede jacket.

SELECTED HOMME KNITTED SCARF

What kind of folk musician ensemble would it be without a perfectly draped scarf? A mandatory accessory that will take you from Mumford and none to Mumford and some.

WASHED BLACK STRETCH VINTAGE SLIM JEANS

'60s fashion was all about smart casual, so bring together your outfit together with these vintage black skinnies, perfect for a gig date.

HOUSE OF HOUNDS 'DEAN' SUEDE LACE UP SHOES

'House Of Hounds' is a pretty cool name. Cooler than the Winter of 1961, which according to 'Inside Llewyn Davis' was proper freezing. Protect your feet from winter chills in these lace ups.

Inside Llewyn Davis is out in cinemas 24th January
